Reuse old wrapping paper! | DIY

I have a friend, who always uses the most beautiful wrapping paper for her presents. It´s really hard to just throw it away. Here´s just one idea for all of you, who´d also like to keep some pretty wrapping paper.
You´ll need some used wrapping paper, scissors, an empty matchbox, a glue stick, maybe some tape and maybe a few other things to make the most adorable litte box in the world. :D

At first you need to cut the wrapping paper so it will perfectly fit around the box. Look for a piece, that was not folded so there will be no wrinkles on your box.
Then you can go on to step 2! Cover the outside of the box in glue and wrap the paper around the surface. The paper has to stick out on both edges.

Now you can fold the edges inwards and fix them with tape. This can be frustrating, but it will be worth it.

Now you´re finished! You can decorate your box with a ribbon, rhinestones or whatever you like. These boxes are perfect for tiny things, that usually get lost on big messy desks. :)
I store my earrings in them.

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial.
Have a nice day!

  1. What a great idea! I always end up with leftover wrapping paper after Christmas and I never know what to do with it.
